Born in West Columbia, Heyward was a son of Heyward Jackson and Peggy Butler Saxby. He passed away on August 5, 2014 at Palmetto Health Richland. He was 28.

Heyward was a devoted father who loved spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by two beautiful children, Adante' Sims and Heyward Sentel Jackson, Jr.; a child he was preparing to love and welcome into this world, Heaven Chantel Jackson; his parents; siblings: Pamela Moseley Williams, David Butler, Rochele Weberg, Candace Jackson, Dawn Jackson, JR Jackson, Jarrod Jackson and Nehemiah Jackson; his grandfather, Edward Furtick; and a host of aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends, all of whom will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Jessie Mae Butler.
