Charles Friday was born December 10, 1945 in Columbia, South Carolina. He was the beloved son of the late Charles and Inez Friday. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two daughters, Erica Adriena Friday and Shirlene Octavia Young Yarborough; a brother George Friday; and a sister, Rosa Friday. He departed this earthly life on October 1, 2017.

Charles was educated in the Richland County public school system. He worked at Benedict College in Columbia for many years as a landscaper. He also used his landscaping talents as an entrepreneur.

After retiring in 2007, Charles began every day enjoying his breakfast with good friends. He was loved by many in his community. Charles’ favorite hobby was playing the lottery!

Charles leaves precious memories and a legacy of love with his loving wife, Deborah Friday; children: Monica (Ronald) Cole of Inkster, Michigan, Charles (Wanda) Friday of Wayne, Michigan, and Patricia Rochelle Young Yarborough of Columbia, South Carolina. He also leaves to mourn his passing his beautiful grandchildren: Brandon, Kenyah, Meleque, Michelle, Kimberly, Ca’meron, Caleab, and Trinity; as well as a host of other loving relatives and friends, all of whom will miss him dearly.
