Betty Jean GlennJuly 31, 1954 ~ November 3, 2017 (age 63)
Mrs. Betty Jean Glenn was born July 31, 1954 in Blythewood, South Carolina to the late Claude McCants and Ida Bell Washington McCants Greene. On Friday, November 3, 2017, her heavenly father called her home from Palmetto Health Richland.
She was educated in the public schools of Fairfield County where she attended Bethel and Handberry High School.
She was gainfully employed at the University of South Carolina; and when she wasn’t working, you could always find her doing what she loved to do: gardening and cooking. She was a loving person that cared for and checked on many.
On March 4, 1971, Betty was united in Holy matrimony to Willie Lee Green, Sr. To this union, five children were born. She was predeceased by her daughter, Betty Johnson.
Betty’s love and legacy will forever live in the hearts of her husband, Willie Lee Glenn, Sr. of Columbia, SC; three daughters: Monica Glenn of Durham, North Carolina, Jana (Kevin) Hollis of Irmo, South Carolina, and Nytasha (Michael) Bray of Columbia, South Carolina; one son, Willie (Brandi) Glenn, Jr. of Columbia, South Carolina; twelve grandchildren and three great grandchildren; three sisters: Ruth Diamond, Stacy Brown, both of Blythewood, South Carolina, and Denise McCants of Columbia, South Carolina; and two brothers; Vernon and Claude McCants both of Columbia, South Carolina. She also leaves a very special friend of more than 40 years, Ms. Barbara Morris, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and caring friends, all of whom will miss her dearly.
