Ms. Lorine Murphy Goodwin was born on August 5, 1942 in Blair, South Carolina to the late Henry and Eva Murphy. She departed this life on Wednesday, August 24, 2016.

She attended public school in both Fairfield and Richland Counties. For many years, Mrs. Goodwin was a dedicated employee of Ed Robinson Cleaners before retiring to take care of her husband. She was a loving mother and grandmother who dearly loved her family. She was a kind-hearted and giving person to anyone who knew her.

Mrs. Goodwin gave her life to the Lord on July 3, 1977. She loved talking about how good God was and that there was nothing like “calling on the name of Jesus.”

She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry and Eva Murphy; her loving husband, Isaac; and her dear sister, Bessie Rivers.

Left to cherish her precious memories are: her seven children: Loretta (Timothy) Corley, Reverend Shirley Goodwin Bush, Isaac Victor (Silver) Goodwin, Minister Kathleen (Reverend Robert) Williams, Reverend Joseph (Evon) Goodwin, Paul (Audrey) Goodwin and Minister Julia (Anthony) Davis, all of Columbia, South Carolina; her sister, Earlene M. Wadsworth of Fort Washington, Maryland; twenty-two grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; and a host of other loving relatives and friends, all of whom will miss her dearly.
