Cremation following Service

Jerome Danta’ Palmer was born September 22, 1991 in Columbia, South Carolina to Ernest Jerome Palmer and Jerri Lynn T. Wider. All too soon, he departed this earthly life on January 13, 2018.

“Rome,” as he was known by family and friends, graduated from Lower Richland High School. He worked at Pella Windows and Doors for two years and DeHaven’s Moving and Storage for three years. Most importantly, he enjoyed spending time with his family. Rome served a tremendous purpose here on earth; and we know without a shadow of a doubt that God is not through with him yet. He has a higher purpose to serve in heaven.

He was well known for his personality and great conversations. He was warmhearted, caring, loving, respectful, consistent, trustworthy, honest, loyal, and so much more behind his name. If you needed a smile or a good laugh, Rome was the person to call. He can never be replaced. There will only ever be one Rome, “King of the Jungle”.

Rome was predeceased by his grandfather, Jerry Gardner; his aunt, Eilene C. Thompson; and Fletcher “Pops” Thompson.

Rome leaves to cherish precious memories and special moments, his parents, Ernest Jerome (Catrine) Palmer and Jerri Lynn T. (Timothy) Wider; his loving children: Brendan Jerome “BJ” Palmer, A’lysa Palmer, Loyalty Bess, and Jerome Danta’ Palmer Jr.; the mothers of children, Lilly Stinney and Jhante Robbins; sisters, Tyaira Wider, MiQualah Harvin, Mikayla Harvin, Jasmin Palmer, and De’laisha Palmer; and his brothers, Nathan Lamar Brown and Deandre Palmer. He also leaves his paternal grandmothers: Eileen River, Rita Thompson, and Louise Palmer; maternal grandfathers, Preston Rivers and Ernest W. Palmer; paternal uncles: Michael D. Harvin, Fletcher Thompson, Tony (Shamel) Thompson, Daryl (Linda) Thompson, Jerry (Tammy) Thompson, Preston (Tanisha) Rivers Jr., Anthony (Octavia) Palmer; aunts, Tonia (Frank) Burns and Anita (Dyrell) Lowe; a special friend, Derrick Lee Bright; and a host of other loving relatives and friends, all of whom will miss him dearly.
