There are no words to express the sadness I feel now for your loss. When the pain of death becomes overwhelming, we can turn to God in prayer. The Bible tells us to "throw all of your anxieties on him, because he cares for you," (1 Peter 5:7). Take comfort in knowing that he loves us and that "one day he will wipe tears from our eyes, and that death will be no more,"(Isaiah 25:8). I hope this scripture gives you peace and endurance during this time of bereavement.

Smooth Dave you will always hold a special and sincere place in our lives. you are the best dude I could ever know and I have adopted so many of your habits and likes. thanks for being that voice of reason when a young brash airman needed to be calmed downed and guided. my family will always love you as I will always continue to look up to (literally). rest easy big bro, uncle, and most of all friend. love you.

You were the best brother in law any person could ask for...I remember for about a year you would take me and pick me up from work but before I got out of your car we would pray...sincere prayers...and we talked about the Goodness of God...I'm going to miss you and the kids will too but we are not worried because we know that God has you safely in his arms...

I'm so sorry to learn of your loss. Our Heavenly Father "longs",that is, has an intense desire to resurrect those who are asleep in death whom He remembers (Job 14:14, 15). His Word the Bible confirms that he will react on this desire in the future (Isaiah 25:8; 1 Corinthians 15:26). May knowing this serve as a source of comfort and hope for you.
