I remember Bishop J.D. Williams as a child growing up in The Progressive Church. Also, I got a chance to hear him preach boldly during the Holy Convocation. He impacted so many with his knowledge of the Word, and his stand for truth. May our Lord bless and comfort his family, and The Progressive Church at this time.

Please accept my deepest sympathy on the passing of your dad. I was so sorry to hear the news. Having loss my Dad almost a year ago October, truly sympathize with you.
I hope that the words of the Bible that say "Blessed are they that mourn for they shall be comforted" will be especially true for you. My prayer is that you find comfort in your faith as you make it through this very difficult time. My family thought highly of Bishop JD as a kind and warm hearted person and my aunt Tina and your dad was taken to school (as children) together by his dad, the late JD Williams. Embrace the memories of who he meant to you because in the end, it is all that matters.
