March 23, 1955 ~ June 14, 2016 (age 61) 61 Years OldGifted with the ability to see the best in everybody, Julius Lovett Thomas was born March 23, 1955 in Camden, SC to Lottie Gerald Thomas and the late Leroy Thomas. He passed away on June 14, 2016. His Christian faith was rooted and nurtured at Edwards Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church.
After completing his education in the Camden public school system, Julius attended Appalachian State University where he excelled as a linebacker on the football team. Julius felt that all of his clients were a part of his extended family.
Julius enjoyed fishing, bowling, watching football, listening to music, telling jokes and dancing. He believed in sharing ‘Life Lessons’ with others, such as, “Always be aware of your surroundings”, “Hold the door open for your Mom”, “Be nice to the ugly girls because they grow up to be beautiful”, and “Don’t be afraid to talk to the fine ones.”
Julius was an amazing husband, wonderful father, fun grandfather, loving son and friend. He often said what he meant, and meant what he said. He would give his last to a person in need.
He leaves cherished memories with: his wife of 38 years, Janice Williams Thomas; his eldest son Julius Lovett (Megan) Thomas Jr. and Jerrel Lamont Thomas; three grandchildren: Kylie, Lynden and Norah; his mother, Lottie Thomas; mother-in-law, Dorothy Williams; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives and friends, all of whom will miss him dearly.
