Yvonne Smalls

Yvonne Smalls, aged 67, died peacefully 9:39 am on May 25, 2020 at Prisma Health Richland Hospital. Yvonne was born January 24, 1953 in Pineland, South Carolina. She was raised by the late John Henry and Rosa Jane White.

She attended Jasper County Schools before attending and graduating from Columbia Junior College, Midlands Technical College and Columbia College where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Work. She was a longtime employee with the Department of Mental Health and then Babcock Center until her health failed.

Yvonne was preceded in death by a sister, Jocelyn Smalls.

She is remembered with love, one daughter, Candice Tucker of Charlotte, NC; one granddaughter, Taylor Sessions of Columbia, SC; mother, Dorothy Palmer Ware of Miami, Florida; one brother, Randolph (Pheobe) White of Hardeeville, SC; two sisters, Jannie Smalls Jones of Savannah, Ga. and Geraldine Smalls of Miami, Florida; one aunt, Albertha Tyson of Miami, Fl.; one love adopted aunt, Betty Ferguson of Columbia, SC; and a hose of nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends.
