Willie Mae Dubard was born on March 28, 1937, in Columbia, SC. She was the oldest daughter to the late Joseph and Eloise (Bell) Mitchell. She passed away peacefully on October 8, 2021.
Mrs. Willie Mae Dubard was affectionately known as Nuddie, NuNu, and Granny. She attended the public School OF Richland County. She enjoyed doing domestic tasks and going to her second job at the BINGO.
She was devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and auntie. She joined Zion Chapel #1 at an early age.
She was preceded in death by her late husband, Johnny Dubard, son Herbert (Buck) Dubard, brother, Joseph A. Mitchell, sister, Rebecca Myers and 2 grandsons Clifton Dreher and Jamar Dunlap.
Mrs. Willie Mae leaves a legacy of two daughters Johnnie Mae Dunlap and Beverly Dubard; four sons, Clifton (Warrena) Dubard, Gary (Brenda) Dubard, Craig Dubard, Transon (Leslie) Dubard, all of Columbia, SC; sixteen grandchildren, fourteen great grands and two great great grands; four sisters, (Carolyn (David) Lorick, Mary (Thomas) Roach, Lillian (Nathaniel) Alston, Naomi Breckenridge, one brother, Henry Timothy Mitchell; three sister-in-laws, Mary Burrell, Oliva Mitchell, Myra McGriff, three adoptive daughters, Brenda Brasley, Bonnie O’Neal, and Linda Johnson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends to cherish her memories.
