Willie Belle Lark Collins, 70, transitioned from her earthly life on January 20, 2020. Born on August 20, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Ashbia (KC) Lark, Sr and Hattie Pressley Lark of Ninety Six, SC. Wille Belle was united in Matrimony to Leroy L. Collins on June 25, 1983. To this union (2) children were born Whitney Collins and Rodney Collins and one granddaughter Andrea “Baby Girl” Collins.
Willie Belle was a member of Pine Pleasant Baptist Church in Ninety Six, SC. Additionally, she attended Bible Way Church of Atlas Road in Columbia, SC.
Willie Belle graduated from Edgewood High School Class of 1967. Studying Secretary Science as well as retail management, she also attended Midlands Technical College. In light of her creativity, she retired from Monsanto Corporation in Greenwood, SC. Also, she retired from Waccamaw Pottery as a manager of the floral department and First Citizens Bank as a teller and personal banker in Columbia, SC. Her hobbies included: creative event planning, floral arrangement designing, avid shopping, and attending sports related activities. Her greatest joy was attending “Baby Girl’s” basketball games.
Willie Belle was preceded in death by her parents and sister Eugenia “Jean” Reeder.
Willie Belle leaves her nurturing and devoted husband Leroy L. Collins to cherish her loving memories; one daughter, Whitney Collins of Columbia, SC; one son, Rodney Collins of Jersey City, NJ; one kindhearted granddaughter “Baby Girl” reared in the home; two stepdaughters, Althea Wells of Duncan, SC and Tanika (Ken) Dunlap of Columbia, SC; one stepson, Damion (Torya) Collins of Elgin, SC; thirteen grandchildren; one special niece, Crystal Lark (Terry) McGrath; two brothers, Ashbia Lark and George Lark of Ninety Six, SC; three sisters, Anna “Tootsie” (Nilem) Reeder of Ninety Six, SC and Janie Alice “Jans” (Arskco) Raines of Stroudsburg, PA, Hattie Mae Jackson of Greenwood, SC; two Godchildren, Chanda Stevens, and Cheryl Williams; brother-in-law, Douglas (Bessie Ann) Collins and sister-in-law, Joyce Collins of Greenwood, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends to resonate fond memories of love.
