Wilhemina Anderson Obituary

Wilhelmina Deloris Corbett Anderson is the daughter of the late Joseph Corbett Sr. and Wilhelmina D. Suber Corbett. She was born July 6, 1963 in Columbia, South Carolina. On Friday evening, October 23, 2020, she quietly departed this life to go where Jesus has prepared for all believers.

She was a graduate of Eau Claire High School. Before her health began to fail, she was a day-care worker at Bundles of Joy Caring and Sharing her love for children and a custodian in health care supporting the quality of cleanliness in patient care.

Wilhelmina was introduced to Christ and she enjoyed praise, worship, and hearing the Word of God. She often said during her health challenges, “I’m alright” and “God got me”.

“Me Me”, as she was affectionately called, is best known for her witty personality, and making others laugh. She always greeted you with a big smile and hug. She was an award-winning grandmother who always gave freely of her time, talent, love, and attention. Her love for her four daughters was unconditional. They were taught to always love each other the same no matter what.

She enjoyed cooking, celebrating birthdays, holidays and special occasions with her family and friends. Barbeques and fish fry’s were her fun times, to include dancing to her favorite old school music. She also enjoyed crocheting. Sitting and chatting with neighbors and watching kids play in the neighborhood was also a past-time favorite. She was one of several neighborhood Moms who was loved and respected.

Wilhelmina was preceded in death by her parents and a twin sister, Wilma Corbett.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Anderson; four daughters: Tiarra, Denise, Ashley, and Shonda Corbett; five brothers: James Lee Murphy, Mickey (Teresa) Joyner, Gregory Suber, Michael J. Suber, Joseph (Aswanda) Corbett Jr.; two sisters: Jennifer L. Corbett and Jeannette L. Corbett-Jones, ten grandchildren all of Columbia, South Carolina, a devoted friend, Isaac Wallace, and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends who will truly miss her.
