Wanda F. Jones

Wanda Faye Jones was born August 25, 1957, in Columbia, SC, the beloved daughter of the late Robert Long and Gertrude Jones. She departed this earthly life to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at Prisma Health Hospital.

She was educated in Richland County attending Columbia High School. She began her career at Johnson Food Service and continued her career until her health declined.

Wanda was a member and was baptized at Laurel Street Baptist Church. She was a lover of playing spades and solitaire.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Helen Robinson, and Vernell Goins; brothers, Bruce Jones, and Leon Jones; and a host of loving aunts, uncles, and family members.

“Faye” as she was affectionately known leaves to cherish her memories: sisters, Shirley (Charles) Washington of Columbia, SC, and Deborah Haywood of the home; brother, Robert Lee Jones of Columbia, SC; twelve nieces and nephews; other nieces and nephews; special cousins, Sheila (Happy) Pinkston, and Kelly Hiller; and a host of other loving relatives and friends all of whom will miss her dearly.
