VERONICA ANOTONIA MONROE, affectionately known as "Ronnie", was born January 23, 1970, in Fort Bennett, Georgia, and she departed this life on June 18, 2022, at her home. She was the youngest of five siblings born to the late Frank E. Monroe and Lizzie Mae Johnson Monroe.
Veronica was educated in the public schools of Richland County School District One, and was a graduate of Columbia High School. She built her career as a Claims Specialist at local insurance companies, and was also a state certified adjuster.
Veronica was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Lizzie, and her brother Herman Johnson.
She leaves to cherish her memories and teachings her children: Shameka Monroe, Smad Monroe, and Simone Monroe all of Columbia, SC. Her brother Raymond (Phyllis) Monroe, St. Louis, MO, and sisters Joyce Monroe, Raleigh, NC, and Diana Monroe-Massey, Charlotte, NC. Eight grandchildren, 11 nieces and nephews, three aunts, one uncle, a host of cousins, and adopted sons and daughters.
One of her favorite sayings was “It’s all good!"
