Tyrone Thompson

Tyrone Thompson was born August 2, 1970, in Columbia, South Carolina, the beloved son and youngest (the baby ) of eleven children, born to the late Alonzia Edward and Flossie Lee Davis Thompson.  Tyrone departed this life to join his heavenly father on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at his residence in Hopkins, South Carolina.

Tyrone was educated in the public schools of Richland County, South Carolina. He worked several years at the Sedgewood Golf Club where he was respected for his dedicated and dependable spirit. Tyrone was also self-employed and enjoyed helping others whenever he could.

He loved cooking, detailing cars, landscaping, and will be most remembered for his warm personality and sense of humor.

He had a personal relationship with God that he often shared with others.  Tyrone had a sweet and loving spirit….always telling his siblings he loved them.  He was spoiled rotten by his siblings, but he loved them dearly and they loved him.

Tyrone was a devoted brother, uncle, and friend. Though he is no longer physically with us, he has left a legacy of love to all those whose lives he so lovingly touched.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brothers, Tresvant Thompson, Ernest Thompson, and Clarence Thompson.

Tyrone leaves to cherish his loving memory three loving and caring sisters, Clara Pinckney of Hopkins, SC, Karen (Elijah) Moore of Columbia, SC, and Kathy Nathan of Hopkins, SC; four caring and devoted brothers, Larry (Loraine) Thompson of Columbia, SC, Lonzo (Louise) Thompson of Eastover, SC, Slyvester Thompson of Hopkins, SC, and Ulysees Thompson of Hopkins, SC; his caring uncle, Walter Thompson, Sr.; aunt, Anna Davis, sisters-in-law, Willene Thompson and Lorine Thompson; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory and will miss him dearly.
