Travis D. Cannon Obituary

Travis D. Cannon was born on August 5, 1993, to Moses and Levern of Columbia, South Carolina. On Saturday, November 4, 2023, he transitioned from labor to reward.

Travis graduated from Columbia High School. He attended St. John Baptist Church where he was a dedicated member and participated in the Puppet Ministry. During the pandemic he continued his Christian journey through social media to receive the Word of God and participated in Communion Services. After high school Travis attended Heyward Career and Technology Center in Columbia, South Carolina with an emphasis in Computer Technology and Design.

Travis was a very talented and creative artist who loved to draw. He loved his family and participated in family reunions and traveling to various states throughout the years. He was also an animal lover who was very close to his companion dog “Roscoe”. Although Travis had muscular dystrophy, he never let this condition defeat him. He was an outstanding individual who was strong and a brave fighter.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Theodore and Eartha Lee DeVore, George and Josie E. Cannon, Sr.

Those left to cherish his memories are his parents; brother, Corey T. DeVore; stepbrother, George Cannon, Jr.; stepsister, Molissa Cannon; three nieces; five nephews; and a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who love him and will miss him dearly.
