Timothy Earl Brown was born on September 30, 1967, in Columbia, South Carolina, the beloved son of the late Johnnie Mae Brown and Thomas Green. Timothy entered eternal rest on Thursday, April 9, 2026, in Columbia, South Carolina.
Timothy was educated in the Richland One School District and graduated from Dreher High School. He later continued his education at Allen University, where he formed lifelong friendships and laid the foundation for the man he would become. In his earlier years, Timothy was a talented athlete who participated in basketball, football, baseball, and track. He later worked as a dedicated tile setter.
Timothy will be remembered for his laughter, warmth, and generous spirit. Timothy will be remembered for being a person who would give the shirt off his back to help anyone in need. He had a deep love for basketball and truly cherished spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie Mae Brown and Thomas Green.
He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved children, Janquita Abney, Timothy Sumter, Timiquaisha Sumter, Kimbrell Sumter, Keona Taylor, and Chelsea Taylor. He also leaves behind a loving legacy to his grandchildren, Jasmine Abney, Jonathan Abney, Emari Patrick, Eric Ravenell Jr., Kaprice Smith, Kiara Byrd, Kassidy Miller, Kayden Miller, Timothy Sumter, Jermiah Billups, Kylan Johnson, Shanyriah Taylor, Omere White, Rhyan Tidwell, and Emery Ferby. He also leaves to cherish his memory of one great-grandchild, Tremani Dash; his caring brother, Thomas Green; loving sisters, Ashley Green, Yolanda Green, and Kenyetta Green; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Timothy’s life and legacy will be forever cherished by all who knew and loved him.
