Thomas Myers

Mr. Thomas “Tom Peter” Myers of Midland, Texas, was born July 27, 1953 to the late Ned & Tamma Myers. He departed this earthly home on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at Prisma Health Richland Hospital.

Thomas was raised in the Pincushion Community and attended the public schools of Richland County. He later moved to Midland, TX where he held numerous jobs including with: Ben Taylor Sanitation Collection (Midland, TX), Amicus Oil Co. (Odessa, TX), and Owen Steel in Columbia, SC.

Thomas enjoyed fishing, gardening, playing spades, Tonk, pool, listening to music, talking junk, joking around and being around his family. Thomas lived his life to the fullest. His favorite saying was “Playa Playa.”

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, Ned & Tamma Myers; one son, Sammie; five sisters, Mae Helen, Eva Mae, Emmie Lee, Betty Jean, and Clara; four brothers, John, Henry, Robert, and Sammie Jr.

He will truly be missed by his wife, Pearlin Myers; three loving children, Thomas Myers Jr., Sammie Myers and Tammier Grant, all of Columbia, SC; his loving brothers, Ned Marshall and George Myers, both of Columbia, SC; eight grandchildren, Na’Tavis, Heyward Sentel Jr., Syncere, King’Major, Daetron, Ka’Niyha, Tianna, and Nicole; two great-grandchildren, Elijah and Royalty; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, all of whom will dearly miss him.
