Terry Lamar Smith

Mr. Terry Lamar Smith was born October 10, 1970, in Columbia, South Carolina. He was the beloved son of the late Johnny Smith and Glendell (Archie) Smith. He departed this life to be with the lord on Thursday, November 9, 2023, at Dorn Veterans Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina.

Terry was educated in the public schools of Richland County School District One graduating from Lower Richland High School in 1988.  After graduating, he continued his education and attended DeVry Institute in Atlanta, Georgia. Terry held various positions in the restaurant industry from General Manager to Area Supervisor. He also worked for over 15 years in the Home Health Care Industry where he blessed and cared for many.

He leaves behind to mourn him his devoted wife of 31 years, Tammara. Together they raised three children that he affectionately called his “Troop 212”.

Those who will forever cherish precious memories of Terry are his loving and devoted wife, Tammara Smith of Hopkins, SC; three loving children, Darius (Kia) Smith of Columbia, SC, Vanessa Smith of Augusta, GA, and Damien (Alexus) Smith of Killeen, TX; three grandsons that he adored, Darius, Jr., Jamal, and Kaleb; one sister, Shamika (David) Green; two brothers, Johnny & Gavin Smith; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other loving relatives and friends, all of whom loved him deeply and will cherish the memories of him forever.
