Terry O'Neal Moody

Terry O’neil Moody was born December 19, 1957, in Temple, Texas, the fifth child of seven children born to the late Herbert and Leola Green Moody. He departed this earthly life on Thursday, August 28, 2025, in Columbia, South Carolina.

Terry was educated in the public schools of Richland County. After school, Terry entered the workforce where he was a faithful and dedicated employee with the City of Columbia, where he worked as an Engineer. He also worked with D’Jazz and Jason’s Deli.

Terry was a kind and loving father who loved his son, Almondo, and his grandchildren. He was also very fond of his nieces and nephews and would do anything to help them if he could.

A loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, though he is no longer physically with us, he has left a legacy of love that will live on in the hearts and lives of all those who loved and knew him.

In addition to his parents, Terry was also preceded in death by his sister, Karen A. Asmond.

Terry leaves to mourn his passing his loving son, Almondo (Ashiya-Cannon) Oree, four grandchildren, Marsean Oree, MaKayla Oree, Nyguel Cannon, Erin Cannon; siblings, Harvey (Dorothy) Green, Sandra (James) Foreman, Debra English, Herbert (Martha) Moody II, and Gregory (Deon) Moody; a special friend, Viveca Millan, his special fur baby, “Lucky”;  and a host of nieces and nephews, and other loving relatives and dear friends, all of whom will dearly miss him.
