Teretha Ann Robinson Thomas was born May 7, 1960, in Columbia, South Carolina, the beloved daughter of Elizabeth Robinson; and step-father, the late Johnny Timmons. She departed this life after a valiant battle on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at Prisma Health Richland Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina.
Teretha was educated in the public schools of Richland School District One and graduated from Eau Claire High School. She was formerly employed with Church’s Chicken where she worked as a cashier.
Teretha was united in holy matrimony to the love of her life, Daniel (Danny) Thomas. Together they shared a love for each other for more than forty-three (43) years; and a love of music with Danny on the keyboard and Teretha accompanying him on the drums. She also enjoyed crafting, eating fish, the beach, riding through the country and sweet conversations with her husband, family, and friends.
Teretha loved the Lord and was baptized at an early age. She attended Christian Outreach, Apostle By Faith, and Temple Zion Baptist Church. Though she is no longer physically with us, her loving and kind spirit will forever live in the hearts and lives of all those who loved and knew her.
She was preceded in death by her step-father; brothers, Ricky Timmons, and Rudolph Timmons.
Those who will forever cherish fond and precious memories of Teretha are her loving and devoted husband, Danny Thomas of the home; loving sisters, Joshua McCray, Kathy Green, and Johnnie Mae Webb; caring uncle, Willie (Gena) Robinson of Cayce, SC; caring aunts, Vernetta Watts of Columbia, SC, Carolyn Summers of Lexington, SC, and Dot Jamison of Norway, SC; brothers and sisters-in-law, a host of nephews, nieces, and other loving relative and dear friends, all of whom will miss her.
