Susie Mae Anderson was born March 20 1941, in Gadsden, South Columbia. She was the sixth child of thirteen born to Roosevelt and Bella Jones. Susie was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 26, 2020.
Susie graduated from Webber High School in Eastover, SC. She was previously employed by Fort Jackson. Ms. Anderson was member of Temple of Faith Bible Way Church.
Susie, affectionately known as “Susie Q” was a loving person, believed in an open-door policy and welcomed all. She was very giving to all and asked for little in return. Sue received her greatest joy when her grandchildren and great grandchildren visited at her home.
She was preceded in death by her parents the late Roosevelt and Bella Jones and her son the late Eddie Walker, and six siblings.
“Susie Q” as she was affectionately called by family and friends is now resting with Jesus and has a new kingdom of residence, called Heaven. Left to cherish precious and found memories are her daughters, Alfreda Jones of Columbia, South Carolina, Arabella Richardson of the home and Susie (Ted) Brown of Hopkins, South Carolina; her sons, Fredrick(Renee) Walker of Hopkins, South Carolina, Woodrow (Loretta) Walker of Hopkins, South Carolina, Stevenson (Brenda) Jones of Columbia, South Carolina, David Anderson of Sumpter, South Carolina, Rodrick Anderson of Hopkins, South Carolina; Tracy Anderson of Los Vegas, Nevada and Christopher Anderson of the home; brothers, Roosevelt (Barbara) Jones of Pennsylvania and David (Jenny) Jones of Columbia, South Carolina; sisters, Rosell Walker, Jesse Clark of Columbia, South Carolina, Lula Battle of New York and Mary Gundy of Gadsden, South Carolina; Thirty-one grandchildren; and forty great-grandchildren. Susie also leaves to cherish her memories a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends to include a special friend Sherri Oree of Hopkins, South Carolina.
