Stephen Alexander Hall, affectionally known as “Steve” or “Tater” transitioned from his earthly home for eternal rest in Glory on Saturday, September 2, 2023. He was born to the late Joseph and Jessie (Geiger) Hall on December 28, 1947 in Columbia, SC.
Stephen graduated from Richlex High School in 1966. He earned a certificate as a culinary cook. He was a hard and dedicated worker during his life time. He held many jobs from age 14 until his health failed him. His employment history included working for Horseman Dolls, McKesson and Robinson, Allied Chemical, Strok Tire Service, Sears Roebuck, Irmo Middle School, Pioneer Machinery and Kraft Foods. His passion was landscaping where as he worked for Mungo Co. and then owned his own landscaping business “Steve’s Maintenance”.
He attended Macedonia Baptist Church at an early age and in his latter years he pursued other churches and never lost faith and trust in God.
In addition to his parents, Stephen was preceded in death by his two brothers, Joseph and Daniel Hall.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his devoted and caring wife, Carolyn Pollock Hall; children, Stephen M. Pollock Hall (Nicole) and Teresa Lorick (Harold Lee); four grandchildren, Grant and Grace Hall and Mariah and Noah Lorick; one great-grand; sister, Barbara Sue Nixon (Samuel); brother, Reverend David Hall (Ruby); sister-in-law, Angela Hall, and a host of nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts, cousins other loving relatives and dear friends.
