Sidney R. Engelhardt

Sidney R. Engelhardt departed his earthly life on June 19, 2026. Born August 10, 1980 to Linda Engelhardt and the late Michael Engelhardt. He leaves to cherish his memory, his two sisters, Kathleen Engelhardt and Amanda Rolax, and former spouse and best friend, Lakeisha Engelhardt, and their three children: Sebastion (Leila) Engelhardt, Julian Engelhardt, and Ardeja Griffin.

Sidney graduated from Eau Claire High School in Columbia, South Caro lina in 1999 and with his mother’s permission, joined the United States Army National Guard in 1998 at 17. In 2000, he then transferred to the United States Navy, honoring his family’s tradition. In 2005 he joined the United States Army to be closer to his wife and children. During that time, he deployed and served in Iraq and Afghanistan. He gave 17 years of his life to the United States Armed Force.

Later in his life, he enjoyed collecting unique firearms, driving his 2004 Mustang GT, and playing boardgames with his family. He loved dogs and listening to diverse music, collecting CDs from an array of artist. This is only a shortlist, he was also very adventurous and spontaneous to what ever life brought.

Sidney will always be remembered as a beloved son and brother-- we will forever cherish our memories of our childhood, the laughter we shared, the bond that neither time or distance could ever erase. He will forever hold a place in our hearts and be remembered with love always.
