Evangelist Shirley Ann Pinto was born in Pomaria, South Carolina on April 20, 1939, the daughter of late John and Geneva Waldrop Gallman. She moved into eternity to meet her Lord on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at Prisma Health Richland Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina.
Shirley attended the public schools in Richland Conty and was a graduate of C. A. Johnson High School. She continued her education with a major in divinity at Benedict College and was a licensed ordain minister.
On November 19, 1964, Shirley was united in holy matrimony to Victor Earl Pinto and their union was blessed with the births of three children. In 2003, she retired from the Department of Social Services after several years of dedicated service.
Shirley was a great cook and loved all kinds of flowers. She was the founder of Jesus is Heaven on Earth Temple. During her illness, she was not able to read her bible as usual, but worshipped and praised the Lord in her heart. Even through it all, she was constantly ministering to others , always calling on Jesus to fix things in her life.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, John Gallman and Geneva Waldrop Gallman; her husband, Victor Earl Pinto; son, Ophius Pinto; granddaughter, Liliani Pinto; and brother, Larry Gallman.
She leaves to cherish her memories her son, Leroy (Lolomi) Pinto of Las Vegas, Nevada; daughter, Tisha Pinto of Columbia, South Carolina; three Brothers, John (Vivian) Gallman Jr.; James William Gallman; and Louis Gallman, all of Columbia, South Carolina; two sisters-in- law, Mrs. Barbara Gallman and Mrs. Vivian Gallman, both of Columbia, South Carolina; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends, all of whom will miss her dearly.
