Sherman Weeks

Sherman Weeks was born July 31, 1960, in Richland County, South Carolina, the beloved son of the late Eddie Weeks Jr., and Naomi Richardson Weeks. After an extended illness, he departed this life for eternal life on Monday, December 15, 2025, at Midlands Health and Rehabilitation Center in Columbia, South Carolina. 

Sherman was educated in the public schools of Richland County. He had a great love for God’s green earth and worked for many years in landscaping where he created beautiful landscapes for his many clients.

Sherman was a loving brother, uncle, and friend. Though he is no longer physically with us, his loving and kind spirit along with his great sense of humor will forever live in the hearts and lives of all those who loved and knew him. 

In addition to his parents, Sherman was also preceded in death by two brothers, Odell and Herman Weeks; and his sister, Neomi Jean Tolen. 

Those left to cherish fond and precious memories of Sherman are caring his brother, Wadell (Wanda) Weeks; and five loving sisters, Lillian (Thomas) Darby of Columbia, SC, Edna Richardson of Atlanta, GA, Nancy Richardson, Linda Weeks and Vivian Weeks, all of Columbia, SC; a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces; his dear cousin, Silas Bolton, who always showed concern and did whatever he could, whenever he could to help; along with a host of other loving relatives and dear friends, all of whom will dearly miss him.
