Shannon LaVette Randolph was born May 16, 1971 in Columbia, SC to the late David and Ada Randolph. Shannon gained her wings on March 12, 2020.
Shannon attended the Public Schools of Richland County, graduating from Lower Richland High School. After graduating high school, she worked various jobs but fell in love with a career she wouldn’t change. She was a dedicated worker at Central Labels that is now called ITW Labels where she would have been for 23 years coming up in September.
“Lavie” Shannon “Prudence” was well known and loved by everyone she came in contact with. Her parents set a strong foundation by studying the word of God at the dinner table every evening, making Shannon’s faith stronger. At an early age, Shannon gave her life to Christ. Whether she cared about speaking in tongues wasn’t nothing for Shannon to do. Shannon’s smile would light up a room. When the “music” came on, you had better clear the floor because she would say “You Going Down” with an “Ooh Wee” or a “Woo Woo” but would say “I love you” after that with a smile. Shannon was a person who loved to give back to the community, a faithful church member, a cook she was and a person who loved to “SING”. As we all know, “Shannon definitely was her mother’s child”. God has gained a great angel.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her maternal grandparents, John and Roxie Patterson and paternal grandparents, Earnest and Jannie Randolph.
Shannon leaves her precious memories: four brothers, Mark A. Randolph, Tarris C. Randolph, David M. Randolph, Jr, Kelly A. (Chelsea) Randolph; step mother, Vera J. Randolph; step brother, Devin Jackson; step sister, Natasha N. Jackson; two nephews, Dalen Perry and Elijah “Myles” Infante; one niece, Jayda Perry and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends all of whom will miss Shannon dearly.
