Saran “Dixie” Hunt Roberts was born in Swansea, SC, January 16, 1954. She is the daughter of the late Blondella A. Muller and the grand-daughter of Ethel Fields Muller and Austin Muller. Dixie graduated from C.A. Johnson High School in 1970 at the age of 16. She was a straight “A” student who was named to the “Who’s Who” among American high school seniors. She served in the United States military from 1974 to 1978 and graduated from Columbia College Missouri, with a BA degree in Business Management.
Her husband, Gus Johnny Roberts preceded her in death, March 2009.
Saran retired from the Richland County Treasurer’s Office, was a Notary Public in the state of South Carolina, and worked as a realtor with Realty World. She was a dedicated member of St. Michael and All Angels’ Episcopal Church family.
Surviving are her loving son, Cory Hunt; stepson, Stephan (Regina) Roberts; beloved aunt, Hannah (MaeMae) Friday; special cousins: Alan Friday, Arnold Friday, Ivan (Audra) Friday, Cheryl L. Lopez, Delores Robinson, Charles Bellinger, and Remontia Bellinger; best friend, Shirley S. Thomas; Godchildren: Kisha and Karen Thomas (Karlee, Andrew, Mikel).
