Reverend Samuel White was born on July 16th 1933 in Saint Stephens South Carolina to Jim White and Beulah Gilliard
While in Saint Stephens he attended Berkeley County schools but before graduation he would be drafted to the military. Upon serving his time in the Army he would return home to not only finish school at Laing high but to start a family with his lovely wife Naomi Brown.
Samuel and Naomi would take their new union and relocate to Newark, New Jersey. In New Jersey Samuel would give his life to the lord in 1960 and become a member of miracle temple. He ushered in 7 beautiful children and would work for consolidated freight ways as a diesel mechanic.
In 1974, Samuel would relocate his family to Columbia South Carolina where he would continue to dedicate his life to the lord through service and prison ministry while raising his children until his wife Naomi transitioned.
Samuel would continue his life serving the lord and finding love again in his new wife Catherine Bellinger who he would go into full retirement from Richland County with. In retirement, Samuel enjoyed camping, reading, serving the lord and spending time with a host of friends and family members.
Samuel would be called to home on January 8, 2022, at Baptist Hospital in Columbia South Carolina.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Jim and Beulah White, lovely wife of 40 years; Naomi, siblings; Leroy, Lois, and Junior; two sons-in-law; Sherman Griggs and Kyle Anderson
Samuel leaves to cherish his life: Children: Samuel DeVeaux(Anita), Ronald White, Jennifer White Griggs, Matthew White, Timothy White, Nathaniel White, Mark White, Rachel Anderson; siblings: Franklin White and Catherine Gant; wife of 10 years: Catherine Bellinger; grandkids: Omar, Marcel, Lawrencia, Heaven, Katrice, Kayla, Kyle, Morgan, Matthew, Brendon(Shana), Brandi, Kim, Greg, and Kaylin; Great grandchildren, Malik, Sasha, Brice, Shane, Savion, Sydney, Tou’re; lifelong friend: Arthur Singleton; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
