Dexter Deward George, Jr., was born May 10, 1996, in the Earis Community of Williamsburg County in Orangeburg, South Carolina, the beloved son of Dexter, Sr. and Jackie Peeples George. He departed this life on Sunday, June 21, 2026, in Columbia, South Carolina.
Dexter attended the public schools of Williamsburg County and graduated from C. E. Murray High School where he excelled in sports. He continued his education at Orangeburg Technical College and received his HVAC Certification/License from Williamsburg Technical College.
Dexter enlisted in the United States Army National Guard in 2020 deploying to Kuwait in 2022 with 133rd MP’CO. Throughout his time with the Guard and after his deployment he continued to accelerate and achieved the rank of SGT at 742nd SMC.
While overseas, he met the love of his life Ayleonna Camp. Upon returning to the States, they united in Holy Matrimony on December 8, 2022, and together they shared six (6) beautiful boys.
Dexter was baptized as a child at Smyrna Baptist and re-baptized as an adult at Destined For Purpose Ministries where he served as a Deacon and Armor Bearer in Training.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Angel George; sisters, Daphne Williams; maternal grandmother, Henson Peeples, Paternal grandparents, Stafford and Catherine George, Sr; and his beloved best friend, Zachary Haymon.
Those who are cherishing fond and precious memories of Dexter are his loving wife, Ayleonna C. George of Kingsport, TN; six sons, Nicholas “Cole” Woodard II; Dexter “ DJ” George III, Jaden McKnight, Gabriel Juliano, JacCaleb McCray, and Bennie George; his loving parents, Dexter Sr., and Jackie George of Andrews, SC; caring brother, Xavier (Lavette) George; loving sister, Tyler George, both of Andrews, SC; maternal grandfather, Albert “Pops” Peeples Sr. of Columbia, SC; mothers-in-love, Kiwana (Christopher) Cox of Lebanon, VA, and Veronica Camp of Kingsport, TN; special uncle, Albert (Sandra) Peeples of Columbia, SC; great aunt, Maryetta George of Andrews, SC; and a host of nephews, nieces and other loving relatives and dear friends, all of whom are sadden by his departure, but rejoice that he is now with the Lord.
