Rubin Williams, Jr., was born December 11, 1960, in Aiken County, South Carolina, the beloved son of the late Reuben Williams and Bertha Mae Stroman. He departed this earthly life on the afternoon of Friday, June 19, 2026, at his residence, in Batesburg-Leesville, South Carolina.
Rubin was a native of Aiken County where he attended the public schools of Aiken County. He worked for many years as a farmer and in landscaping.
“Rudy” as he was affectionately called by family and friends, loved music and dancing. Though he is no longer physically with us, his loving and kind spirit will forever live in our hearts and all those who loved and knew him.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his aunt, Ruth Ann Meachum; brothers, Thomas Williams, and Nathaniel Williams; niece, Stephanie Nicole Abney; paternal grandparents, Albert and Fannie Ruth Williams; and maternal grandparents, Tom and Lurline Stroman.
Those who are cherishing fond and precious memories of Rubin are his loving sisters, Bertha Abney of Lexington, SC and Betty Williams of New York; caring brother, Robert Williams of Columbia, SC; six (6) loving nieces, Victoria (Bryant) Abney Fulmore of Lexington, SC, Lachaundra “Chaun” Marshall, Teena “Sweet Pea” Williams, both of Monetta, SC, Felicia “Sandy” Morris of Columbia, SC, Deidra “Dee Dee” Morris of Saluda, SC; and Loretta Dozier of Gilbert, SC; three (3) caring nephews, Darrell “Steve” (Shanta L.) Williams, Brandon “Peanut” Marshall and Trayko Marshall, all of Monetta, SC; great-aunt, Letha Tyler of Aiken, SC; first cousin, Leon Stroman of Monetta, SC; cousin, Minnie Harrison of Aiken, SC; twenty-six (26) great-nieces and nephews; twelve (12) great-great nieces and nephews, and a host of other loving relatives and dear friends, all of whom will dearly miss him.
