Rubie Lee (Washington) Feaster was born to Walter Washington Sr. (Crackerjack) and Hildry (Turner) Phillips Washington on January 10, 1947 in Warren, Ohio. As a vivacious child, Rubie attended Frances E. Willard Elementary school. Later Rubie relocated with her family to New York City where she graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in Brooklyn, New York.  Rubie blossomed into a classy, beautiful young woman, catching the eye of Howard Feaster whom she married on December 4, 1965. They parented a handsome son, Howard Deon Warren Feaster on January 7, 1966

Rubie had an amazing professional career. She worked for J.P Morgan Chase (New York) for thirty-five years. Excelling to an executive manager with the corporation, later retiring on April 4, 2002. Her hard diligence at work did not keep her from having fun and enjoying life. Rubie enjoyed laughing, dancing, bowling, traveling, eating good food at fine restaurants and she loved clothes. Boy did she look good in her clothes. Rubie was also a proud member of the Red Hat Society. She loved people and went out of her way to help whomever she could. However, make no mistake, her love for people did not prevent her from telling you exactly how she felt about a matter and setting things straight, if necessary (Smile). Rubie was an active member of GM Our lady of Grace Church in Bronx, New York. She was a dynamic part of many services at her church.

Rubie lived a long, satisfying and fulfilling life. She passed away peacefully at the age of seventy-four on November 19, 2020 with her loving niece Tonya Bailey by her side.

Rubie is preceded in death by her parents Walter Washington Sr. (Crackerjack) and Hildry (Turner) Phillips Washington; her beloved husband Howard Feaster; her son Howard Deon Warren Feaster; her brothers Walter Leandrew Washington Jr., Joe Wesley Washington; her sisters and their husbands, Elouise Pleasant Kirksey Stokes (Holmes, Charles and James), Estella Lee Dawson (Matthew), Mary Elizabeth Cummings (Norvell); her nieces Charlotte Ann Barber, Sherry Lee Mandy; nephews Matthew Dawson Jr., Rayfield Anderson, Danny Lee Stokes and her loyal companion and friend Ronald Clarke.

She is survived by her special nieces and nephew Tonya Marie Bailey (Keith), Tameeka Marcia Cummings, Jameson Cummings; nieces Evelyn (Rufus) Durowaye, Joyce Lynn Martin, Nancy Anderson, Darla Rae (Richard) Turner, Cassandra Jackson; nephews James Leventis (Shelley) Stokes, Gardell Deland Dawson and Godchildren Justin Murray, Shawn Henson and Somorrah Marble.
