Obituary
Rosa Bell Shell Lovett Harris was born October 13, 1928, in Columbia, SC to the late Edgar and Aurelia (Bookhart) Shell. She departed this life on Friday, May 5, 2023.
Rosa was educated in Richland County public schools and attended Booker T. Washington High School. Rosa was married to the Late William Harris, Sr.
Rosa was a dedicated worker for Prisma Health (formerly Palmetto Health Richland Hospital) for many years.
Rosa joined the Friendship A.M.E. Church at a young age when her family moved into the St. Andrews area (formerly Dutch Fork). During her active years she showed her Christian faith and duty by serving faithfully as a member of the Missionary Ministry.
Rosa was preceded in death by her husband, siblings which included six (6) brothers; and six (6) sisters.
Those left to cherish her fond and precious memories are her loving son, Theanza (Mary) Shell, Sr; a special niece, Deborah (Jonathan) Douglas Sr; grandson, Theanza (Brittany) Shell Jr; and three (3) great grandchildren, a host of nephews, nieces, and other loving relatives and friends, all of whom join the family in sharing the grief caused by her departure, but rejoice for now she is resting with the Lord.
