Reverend Clorine Sherman Redmond was born April 1, 1943, in Taylor's, South Carolina the fourth child of eleven children born to the late Reverend A.B. Sherman Sr, and Elizabeth Carter Sherman. She went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 24, 2025, in Columbia, South Carolina.
Clorine was educated in the Greenville County School system graduating from Lincoln High School in 1962. She received correspondence training in Richland County Adult Education along with working as a substitute teacher with Richand County School District One for numerous years. She also held head cashier positions at various restaurant on North Main Street, Columbia, S.C (Rene's Chicken & Biscuits).
Reverend Clorine S. Redmond was the loving widow to the late Reverend Grant E. Redmond Sr. for 57 years and the mother of five children through this union. She was licensed to preach the Gospel of Christ at the New Hope Baptist Church in 1984 under the leadership of her husband Reverend Grant E. Redmond Sr. She was a dedicated member of the Baptist Minister's Wives and Widows organization where she served as an officer and longtime member.
In addition to her parents, and husband, Reverend Redmond she was also preceded in death by her daughter, Jacquelyn Janene Floyd; brothers, A. B. Sherman Jr, and Johnny Gary Sherman; and sisters, Dorothy Mims Gantt, and Eugenia S. Latimore.
Although, Reverend Clorine S. Redmond's physical presence may be no more, her legacy will remain forever with her beloved children, Angela Redmond-Wynter (Gary), Reverend Dr. Monica D. Redmond, Paulette C. Redmond, and Grant Edward Redmond Jr. (Amanda Brooke); grandchildren, Lionel L. Williams (Keshia), Andrick L Williams (Santana), Harold Maurice Floyd (Kendra), Matthew L. Floyd, Alginelle Janiece Floyd Sanders (Donald), and Jada B Redmond; sisters Mary, Sadie, Beatrice, Geneva; brothers, Jimmy and Harry; along with her brothers-in law; great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family all of whom will help us celebrate her beautiful life.
