Rena D. McFadden

Mrs. Rena D. McFadden was born November 14, 1967, in Tunica, Mississippi, the beloved daughter of the late Ernest Boykin, Jr. and Margrett Jefferson.  She went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 8, 2023, in Columbia, South Carolina.

Rena was educated in the public schools Tunica County in Mississippi and  graduated from Rosa Fort High School in the Class of 1984. She later relocated to Boston, Massachusetts where she worked with Children with special needs.

In 1984, Rena met the love of her life, Mitchell McFadden in Knoxville, Tennessee.  The two were united in Holy Matrimony and shared a life of love, and devotion to each other.  Though she is no longer physically with us, her loving and kind spirit will forever live in the hearts and lives of all those who loved and knew her.

Those who are cherishing fond and precious memories are her loving and devoted husband, Mitchell McFadden of the home; sister-in-love who was like a mother, McCerner Raymond; two (2) caring brothers, Gregory Boykin of El Paso, Texas; and Mondrell Boykin of Tunica, Mississippi; two (2) loving sisters, Verleen Jefferson and Trisha Boykin, both of Tunica, Mississippi; a host of nephews, nieces, and other loving relatives and dear friends, all of whom join the family in sharing the grief caused by her departure, but rejoice that she is now resting with the Lord.
