Ralph Edward Snowden, Sr. was born May 23, 1954, the beloved son the second of three children born to the late Gilbert and Gertrude (Gerdie) Snowden. He departed this life on Wednesday, November 8, 2023.
Ralph spent his early years in Berkeley California with his two siblings, Kenny and Barbara Snowden. He attended the public schools of Berkeley, California.
Ralph met the love of his life, the former Annie (Liz) Williams. God blessed their union together with 44 years of love and devotion to each other and a beautiful family.
Ralph was strong willed, very passionate, and was self-motivated. This passion fueled his entrepreneur spirit and allowed him to be self-employed pretty much his whole life! Ralph was a people person and would talk to everyone from the CEO of a company, to the janitor that cleaned building. Ralph would find a way to connect with anyone and more than often left the conversation with a friend for life. He loved sports, especially the San Francisco 49ers Football Team. One of Ralph’s greatest accomplishments was teaching all the guys around him how to make money. Ralph would often encourage his sons, and all of his friends to work for themselves, by starting their own business.
His passing will be mourned, but his life will continue to be celebrated by his loving wife, Annie (Liz) Williams Snowden; two sons, Ralph (Ashley) Snowden, Jr., of Columbia, South Carolina, and Marlon (Terra) Williams of Waldorf, Maryland; four daughters, Michelle Snowden of Oakland, Renyee Gray, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Channell Snowden of Columbia, South Carolina, and Cherry (Jermaine) Walker of Chattanooga, Tennessee; his sister, Barbara Snowden of Sacramento, California; 17 grandchildren ;and a host of loving nieces, nephews, other loving relatives, and dear friends, all of whom will miss him dearly.
