Priscilla Annette Givens, the eldest of seven children, was born on August 6, 1960, in Washington, D.C., and was raised in Edgefield, South Carolina, by her grandmother, the late Willie Mae Harrison. She departed this earthly life for eternal life with the Lord on Sunday, February 22, 2026, in Columbia, South Carolina.
Priscilla later moved to Boston, Massachusetts, where she graduated from Dorchester High School. She went on to earn her certificate in business from American Business Institution, always striving to build a life of purpose and stability for herself and her family.
A devoted mother and proud grandmother, Priscilla’s greatest joy was her family. She often spoke lovingly of her “two beautiful daughters” and treasured her role as a grandmother. Her love for her family was unwavering and deeply rooted.
For over three decades, Priscilla made her home in Columbia, South Carolina. In 2006, she gave her life to the Lord, marking the beginning of a faithful and committed walk with Christ. From that moment forward, her life reflected her devotion. She had a gift of helps as she blessed many. She became an active member of Word of God Church and Ministries International where she was a member of WOW (Women of Wisdom) Ministry and the Greeter’s Ministry. She is a former member of the Prison Ministry. She also faithfully volunteered with Sistercare, where she ministered to women with compassion, testimony, and encouragement. Her faith was not only something she professed — it was something she lived.
Priscilla was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Eliza Mae Richardson and her father, Willie Harrison Jr. brother Sylvester Harrison & sister Doretha Harrison, nephew De’sean Harrison.
She leaves behind a legacy of faith and love through her beautiful daughters, Lateefa Harrison and Tonyetta Givens; her cherished grandchildren, Serenity Jayel Harrison-Shell, Kiyan Elijah Harrison-Shell, and Mason Givens; stepmother, Sylvia Harrison; siblings, Glinda (Vincent) Allen, Michael Harrison, Vivian (Tammy) Harrison, Simone Harrison, and Gloria (Calvin) Harrison-Brewster; two brothers raised as siblings, Rayfield “Reno” Harrison Jr. and Swager Harrison. She is also survived by her aunts, Emma Ruth Dean, Lizzie Mae Beard, and Effie Pearson; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Priscilla’s life stands as a testimony of perseverance, devotion, and trust in God. Though she has taken her rest, her light, her prayers, and her love will continue to shine through the family she nurtured and the many lives she touched.
