Princetta Jones

Princetta Jones was born on November 11, 1968 in Columbia, SC, one of three children, to Julius Jones and the late Juanita Reed Jones.  She departed this life on January 16, 2021.

Princetta was educated in the public schools of Richland County, SC graduating from C. A. Johnson High School in 1987. She furthered her education at South Carolina State College, later named South Carolina State University, completing Bachelor's degrees in Biology and Nursing and a Master of Science Degree in Nutritional Science. Upon graduation and throughout her career, Princetta worked in the area of health and nutrition education.       

Princetta was the epitome of a free spirit and lived her life without boundaries. Princetta had a love for travel and unique dining. She also had a love for teaching and always desired to bestow knowledge upon others. Princetta was widely known for her generosity and willingness to help whenever called upon. Princetta was a friend to “ALL.”

Princetta was preceded in death by her mother - Juanita Reed Jones: three aunts – Sophia and Patricia Reed and Rubye Jones Thornton; four uncles – George Reed, Leroy, Thomas, and Darrell Jones.

Princetta leaves to cherish her memories: father, Julius N. Jones, Columbia, SC; two sisters: Yolanda Nicole and Julia Renee Jones of Columbia, SC; three uncles: Jesse L. (Michelle) Jones of Columbus, OH, Melvin (Sherron) Jones, Palm Coast, FL, and Daniel (Arlene) Jones of Philadelphia, PA.; four aunts: Laura Myers, Valeria M. (Kenny) Carlos, and Jacqueline Faye of Columbia, SC and Mary Alice (Ruben) Reed Myers of Beverly Hills, FL. Princetta also leaves to cherish her memories several cousins who were seen as aunts and uncles in heart.
