Precious Z. Craft Mayo Cannon

Precious Z. Craft Mayo Cannon was born February 12, 1963, in Columbia, South Carolina, the beloved daughter of Delores Hutto Craft and the late Raymond W. Craft Jr.  She entered into eternal rest on Monday, June 8, 2026, at PRISMA Health Richland Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina.

Educated in the public schools of Richland School District One, Precious was a 1981 graduate of A. C. Flora High School. She was employed for more than twenty years at the Richland County Fire Marshal Office where she dedicated herself to serving Richland County.

Precious was a thirty-year member of Little Zion Baptist Church where she attended faithfully when her health allowed. She will fondly be remembered for never ever complaining about what might have been going on in her life but always thanked God for his healing and sustaining power.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her two grandchildren who she adored. Precious will also be remembered for her love of fashion, wearing beautiful jewelry, listening to gospel music and for being an avid Pittsburg Steelers Fan. Though she is no longer physically with us, she has left a legacy of love to all those who loved her and fondly remember by all  those whose lives she so lovingly touched.  

In addition to her father, Precious was also preceded in death by her grandmother, Mary Hutto Lewis; her only sister, Sharon Craft Lewis; brother, Eric D. Craft ; and nephew, Desmond Lewis.

Those who are cherishing fond and precious memories of Precious are her two loving sons, Michael (Tanisha) Mayo and Jarvis Mayo; precious grandchildren, Abigail and Arius Mayo; her loving mother, Delores H. Craft; caring brother, Raymond W. Craft III; a host of nephews, nieces and other loving relatives and dear friends, all of whom will dearly miss her, but rejoice that she is now resting with the Lord.
