Plassie D. Scott

Plassie Dingle Scott was born October 24, 1927, the beloved daughter of the late Moses Dingle and Sadie Holliday in Davis Station, SC. She departed this life to be with the Lord on Monday, March 31, 2025, at MUSC Northeast in Columbia, South Carolina.

 Although she only received a third-grade education, Plassie earned her cosmetology license. She also worked as a custodian at Alcorn Middle School for many years before she
retired.

Plassie was married to the late Charles H. Scott for 70 years and to their union a son and a daughter were born.

Though she is no longer physically with us, her loving and kind spirit will forever live in the hearts and lives of all those who loved and knew her.

Plassie was proceeded in death by her husband, along with three sisters and three brothers, Wilhelmina, Carrie, MaryElla, Nathaniel, Robert, and Charlie.

Plassie is lovingly survived by her son, Charles (Dorthy) Scott  of Columbia, SC: and daughter, Hope Curry of Columbia, SC; six grandchildren,  Stacy Curry, Jason Curry (Keita), Ingrid "Lady" Jackson(Omar), Kendria Saulters, Darryl Mayes, and Kendra Curry, all of Columbia, SC. Plassie is also survived by nine great-grandchildren, twelve great great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews, all of whom will miss her dearly.
