Percy Lee Hudson, Jr. Obituary

Percy Lee Hudson, Jr.  was born December 29, 1964, in Jersey City, NJ.  He was the son of Elizabeth Boyd Hudson and the late Percy Lee Hudson, Sr.  He departed this life peacefully on September 12, 2022, in Altoona, PA.

Percy attended East Orange High School in East Orange, NJ and graduated in June 1982.  After graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and trained at Fort Sill, OK.  Upon completion of training, he was stationed in Germany.  After his tour in Germany, he returned home to East Orange, NJ and was employed with Liquid Carbonic in Harrison, NJ.  At the time of his death, he was employed with the Altoona Parking Authority.  He was well thought of and respected by his employer and employees.

Percy was always willing to help others.  If you needed an auto mechanic, he was always on call.  He will always be remembered for his beautiful spirit, consistent acts of kindness and tireless expressions of love for his family.   Percy will truly be missed.

Percy was preceded in death by his father, Percy Lee Hudson, Sr.

Those celebrating his life and cherishing precious and loving memories are two sons, Percy Lee Hudson, III of NJ, Michael Todd Hudson of NY; granddaughter, Zoe Rae Hudson of NJ; mother, Elizabeth Boyd Hudson of Irmo, SC; brother, William E. Boyd of New Jersey; sister, Gloria D. Boyd of Irmo, SC; uncle, Beamon Boyd of Irmo, SC; aunt, Fannie Shipmon (Jay) of East Orange, NJ; first cousin, Cindy L. Boyd of Irmo, SC; nieces, Kimberley E. Boyd of VA, Kayla N. Boyd of Irmo, SC and a host of other loving relatives and dear friends.

We are forever grateful to have had this time with Percy and his passing will forever leave a void in the hearts of family, other loving relatives, and friends all who loved and knew him.
