Ms. Peggy Blair Turner was born February 9, 1965, in McCormick, SC to the late Willie “Bo” Blair, Jr. and the late Carolyn “Polly” Searles Blair. She entered into eternal rest surrounded by her family on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at Wellstar Medical Center, Augusta, GA.
Peggy graduated from McCormick High School and obtained her Master’s from Troy University. At the age of 23, Peggy enlisted in the United States Army, retiring in Augusta, GA after 20 years of service. Peggy was a proud veteran and attained the rank of Master Sergeant (MSG)/E-8 before her retirement. As part of this service, she served tours of duty in both Kuwait and Iraq.
Peggy worked as a Logistics Manager at Monitor Manufacturing in Augusta, GA for 14 years. She was a member of Transformation United Methodist Church and the Red Hat Society, and fulfilled the roles of Usher, Communion Steward, and Treasurer. Her hobbies included spending time with family, watching her favorite soap opera, General Hospital, and listening to audiobooks.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Bruce (Monica) Blair of Laurens, SC.
She is survived by two daughters, Timia and Tiana Turner of Hephzibah, GA; two sons, Quintavius Blair of Hephzibah, GA and Marquette James (Martina Kay) Blair of Brooklyn, NY; five grandchildren, Jamon, Ja’Liyah, and Margo Blair, and Aiden and Elias Redondo; two brothers, Charlie McClendon of Gray Court, SC and Anthony (Tonya) Blair of Albemarle, NC; three sisters, Vickie (James) Mursier and Wilena Blair of McCormick, SC, and Tarrer (Norman) Denson of Charleston, SC; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
