Pauline Davis Dudley was born October 31, 1943, in Gilbert, South Carolina. She was the beloved daughter of the late Oscar, Sr. and Mary Lee “Mae” Davis. She departed this earthly life to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 23, 2022, in Pelion, South Carolina.
“Sista,” as she was affectionately called by family and friends, was educated in the public schools of Lexington County and graduated from Lexington Rosenwald High School in the class of 1963. She continued her education and obtained an Associate Degree in Business from Columbia Commercial College in Columbia, South Carolina. She was employed with the United States Department of Agricultural from which she retired after years of faithful and dedicated service.
Pauline was united in marriage to Thomas Dudley.
Pauline joined the St. Paul Baptist Church at an early age. During her tenure, she faithfully served as a member of the Saint Paul Gospel Singers, the Usher Board, and as Church Secretary for many years.
Pauline was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Her caring and compassionate love for all will forever live in the hearts of all those who loved and knew her.
Mrs. Dudley was also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Stori Davis; three brothers, SGT Paul Willie Davis, Oscar, Jr. (Veronica) Davis, and Jack (Everneze) Wise; her sister, Molly Davis; brother-in-law, Anthony Langford; two nephews; two nieces; and one great-nephew.
Those who will forever cherish her fond and precious memories are her husband, Thomas Dudley; her loving son, Eric Davis of Pelion, South Carolina; two great-grandsons, Todderick Story and Jackson Lloyd; her brother, Johnny (Virginia) Davis of Gilbert, South Carolina; sister-in-law, Louise Davis of Lexington, South Carolina; two loving and caring sisters, Carolyn (John) Bowman of Lexington, South Carolina; and Lela Langford of Leesville, South Carolina; two caring aunts, Jannie Harris and Lela Gives Davis; special friends, Loretta Geiger, Bessie Corley Byrd, Stacey Gardner, Gloria Williams and Patsy Branch, a host of nephews, nieces and other loving relatives and dear friends, all of whom will miss her, but rejoice that she is now with the Lord
