Growing up in Columbia, Patricia attended the public schools of Richland County and was a graduate of Columbia, High School. She was married to Corey T. Bookert and their union was blessed with the births two sons and one daughter. Patricia was previously employed with at Fort Gordan Army Base where she worked for several years before her health declined.
“Pat,” as she was affectionately called by family and friends, was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She spent most of her days listening to old school music; however, her favorite past time was completing crossword puzzles, oh how she loved the thrill of completion! Her other favorite thing to do was facetiming her grandchildren; her face would light up and beam with excitement just to see them and hear their voices. She will be missed by all who loved and knew her.
Patricia was also preceded in death by her son, Marcus Tyran Bookert.
Those who are cherishing her fond and precious memories are her loving son, Rodrick Bookert, Sr. of Atlanta, Georgia; her loving and caring daughter, Cori (Cedric) Grant of Columbia, South Carolina; five caring brothers, Danny (Sunny) Weston of Honolulu, Hawaii; Walter Anthony Goodwin of Houston, Texas; William (Shana) Murphy of Lufkin, Texas; Sammie Adams of Columbia, South Carolina; and Antonio (Natile) White of Augusta, GA; two loving sisters, Delores Marie Jeffcoat and Josey James, both of Columbia, South Carolina; one grandson, Rodrick Bookert, Jr.; four granddaughters, ZaLaisha McClellan, Zaya Bookert, A’Zariah Bookert, and Janessa Bookert; a host of nephews, nieces and other loving relatives and dear friends, all of whom join the family in sharing the grief caused by her departure, but rejoice that she is resting with the Lord.
