Patricia Bowens-Colon Obituary

Patricia Bowens-Colón (Kissy) was born on October 10, 1962 to MarieSpears and George Bowens in Hamilton, Ohio.

Patricia was educated at St. Josephs and Badin High School where she graduated with a degree in cosmetology, music, and childhood education. After high school she continued playing music for various churches and events.

Patricia stayed a busy woman. She worked for The Salvation Army, and Jack Cohen. She was the Co-Owner of TNC Talent, Darlene Bishop Home for Life and Yielded Vessel Ministries. After surviving cancer, she became a stay at home mom.

Patricia was united in marriage to Israel Colón on July 23, 1983, and became a widow on August 22, 2016. They shared 33 beautiful yearstogether. From this union they were blessed with four daughters, Antoinette, Traci Marie, Denise, Zy,Ayre and one son, Kenyatta. The highlight of her life was her 27 grandkids and one great-grandchild.  Patricia and Israel never met a stranger. Their door was always open to any and everybody which is why they had so many adopted loved ones.

Patricia was proceeded in death by her parents, Marie Spears and George Bowens; six grandchildren, Madison Jones, Trevonn Colón, Deź Meyonna Colón, Dan’Montez Colón, Baby Jones, and Breana Hammonds.

She is survived by her daughters, Antointee M. Colón (William) Hammonds, TraciMarie E. Colón’(Kendall) Jones, Denise N. Colón (Shaun Mitchell), Zy’Ayre T. Bowens; son, Kenyatta S. Colón; sisters, Anna Marie Mukes and Cynthia Salter and a host of nieces, nephews, great- nieces, great-nephews, adopted children and other relatives and friends.
