Oliver Bell Obituary

Oliver H.  Bell was born October 26, 1945, McCormick, South Carolina, the beloved son of the late Sam and Carrie Bell.  He departed this earthly life on Sunday, May 25, 2025.

Oliver was educated in the public schools of McCormick County and was a graduate of Mims High School.  He continued his education at Piedmont Technical College in Greenwood, SC, where he received an associate degree.

Mr. Bell was a long-time member of Shiloh AME Church.  Though he is no longer physically with us, his loving and kind spirit will forever live in the hearts and lives of all those who loved and knew him.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother Levoid Bell; and sister, Annie Mae Johnson.

Those who are cherishing fond and precious memories of Oliver are his loving wife, Alyce Bell  of the home; his loving children, Gloria (Jeff) Diamond of Charlotte, NC, Quincy (Kushida) Bell of Greenville, SC,  and Alex Bell of Myrtle Beach, SC; his adopted son, Steven (Barbara) Lyons of Greenville, SC; three grandchildren, Micah, Zaria, and Donovan; two great grandchildren, Micah, Jr. and Marlo; and his four legged fur baby, Chloe Bell; brother, Phillip (Sandy) Bell of Columbia, SC; two sisters, Barbara (Rufus) Wilson of Calhoun Falls, SC; and Martha (Coot) Bell of Greenwood, SC; brother-in-law, Eugene (Jennifer) Bennett of Augusta, GA; a host of nephews, nieces, and other loving relatives and dear friends, and our family support team,  Mary Frances Gilchrist, Robbie (Eddie) White, Lucille Wright, Deborah Martin, Barbara Wilson, Robert Tompkins, Danny & Shelia Holmes, all of whom will dearly miss him, but rejoice that he is now resting with the Lord.
