Obe Isaac was born August 15, 1941, to late Henry and Christine Isaac of Bishopville, South Carolina. He departed this life surrounded by his loving family on Friday, May 22, 2026, at his residence in Columbia, South Carolina.
Obe was educated in the public schools of Lee County where he graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School in the Class of 1961. After graduation he relocated to California, later moving to Freeport, New York.
On September 15, 1966, Obe was united in Holy Matrimony to the former Lillian Hamilton and together they shared a life filled with love, devotion and a beautiful family.
He retired in 1996 from the Town of Hempstead Long Beach, New York after more than thirty years of dedicated service. After retirement, he and his family move to Columbia, where he enjoyed working in his yard until his health declined.
In addition to his parents, Obe was preceded in death by his son, Oprie Isaac; granddaughter, Lejenia Garrett; brothers, George Isaac, Joseph Isaac and James Isaac; and his sisters, Hennie Mae Anderson, Rose Isaac and Annie Mae Isaac.
Those who are cherishing fond and precious memories of Obe are his loving and devoted wife of fifty-nine (59) years, Lillian Isaac; caring and devoted sons, Steven (Zdrauk Barnett) Isaac of Stuttgart, Germany; Obe Isaac, Jr. and Eugene Tinsley Isaac, of Wyandanch, NY; loving and caring daughter, Carla Francisco of Dorchester, MA; fifteen (15) grandchildren; thirteen (13) great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law, Cleveland Hamilton, Edward Hamilton and Devone (Kathy) Hamilton, all of Goldsboro, NC; sisters-in-law, Ethel Battle, Mable Bolar, both of Goldsboro, NC, and Christine Hamilton of Columbia, SC; and a host of nephews, nieces and other loving relatives and dear friends, all of whom will dearly miss him.
