Norma Lee Robinson Obituary

Norma Lee Robinson lovingly known as “Pee-Wee" age 58 departed this earthly life on Saturday, August 30, 2025 in Cayce, South Carolina. Born on November 5, 1966, in Miami Florida. She was the youngest of six children born to the late John Douse and Sarah Mae Robinson.

She was a proud graduate of Miami North Western Senior High, in Miami, FL.  She earned an Associate's Degree from Lindsey Hopkins Technical College in Miami, Fl.  After that she obtained her National Child Development Associate (NCDA) Credential from St. Thomas University.   She worked at The Young Women's Christian Association (YWCA) in childcare until she relocated to Columbia, SC in 2006. In Columbia, SC she continued to work in Early Childhood Education.

Norma gave her life to Christ at a young age. She rededicated her faith shortly after she moved to Columbia, SC at Faith Tabernacle WOTCC, under the leadership of Bishop Herbert Smith.

Norma found joy in cooking, she always said "everything has to be cooked with Love". She was known for her famous homemade peach tea, sweet potato pie, and potato salad. She loved to shop, fish, and travel. She cherished each and every moment she spent with family and friends. One interesting fact about Norma everything was a teachable moment

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sarah Mae Robinson and John Douse; one brother, John D. Robinson and one grandson, Zhanquavion Kalik Garrett.

Norma leaves to cherish her legacy and memories her devoted husband Jack Wayne Scott of Cayce, SC; her adopted mother, Olivia Thomas of Miami, FL; her two daughters, Trenika Garrett (Jelani Jr) of Tampa, FL and LaKeyla G. Richardson (Durance Jr.) of Cayce, SC; one adopted daughter, Estoria Wright of Columbia, SC; eight grandchildren, Zacquel Garrett, Zalaikha Pugh, Zhar 'Miyah Garrett, Jelani Crossman, Jr., Zhanquanice Garrett, Durneece “Durancia”Richardson, Durance Richardson III and Durronicka Richardson; one grandchild/niece, Clarencea Pitts; one adopted granddaughter,  Tamera "Plus One” Caldwell; three sisters, Deloris Bolden (John) of Albany, GA, Flora Brown (Jerry) of Albany, GA, Crystal Pitts (Clarence) of Miami, FL; one brother, Ronald Robinson (Arnita) of Miami, FL; two great-grandchildren, Mer'Zyan and Mer’ Ziyah Clement and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended relatives and cherished friends.

Norma Robinson lived a life of grace, wisdom, and unwavering dedication to family, faith, and service.  She will be deeply missed yet her legacy will continue to inspire generations to come.
