Nathaniel Randolph, Sr. was born on November 30, 1935, in Columbia, South Carolina the son of the late James and Irene Blanding Randolph. He transitioned from this earthly life at his residence on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at the age of ninety.
Nathaniel was a large and tall man who was quiet and had a pleasant spirit. He loved his family and he loved eating out if it was a buffet restaurant.
Nathaniel was educated in the public schools of Richland County, where he graduated from C. A. Johnson High School in the Class of 1948. After completing his education, he enlisted in the United States Army. Upon completing his military service and before retiring he was employed with several companies in Columbia, SC. He was united in Holy Matrimony to the love of his life Carrie Taylor Randolph with whom he shared fifty-four years before she went home to be with the Lord.
Mr. Randolph was a long-time member Bible Way Church of Piedmont Avenue, where he served faithfully until his health declined. After his retirement he enjoyed doing things at his own leisure.
Nathaniel was preceded by the love of his life, his wife of 54 years Carrie Taylor Randolph; his beloved grandson, Cedric Eugene Randolph, Jr.; his parents, James and Irene Blanding Randolph; his brothers James Jr., Willie, and Abraham Randolph; sisters, Corrine R. Brewington and Lucy R. Brown; and one brother-in-law, Willie Brewington.
