Nathaniel Leysath Obituary

Nathaniel Leysath was born June 20, 1953, in Columbia, SC, the son of the late Charlie and Maxine Frederick Leysath, Sr. He passed away at his home on Thursday, March 14, 2024, in Columbia, South Carolina.

He was educated in Richland One Public Schools and graduated from Dreher High School in 1971. He served in the United States Navy for two years and was the recipient of the National Defense Service Medal. Upon receiving and Honorable Discharge, he worked various jobs for himself and others.

Nathaniel was a devoted father and grandfather. Though he is no longer physically with us, his loving and kind spirit will be remembered by all those who loved and knew him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Charlene A. Kennedy; his brothers, Charlie, Levi, Mack, Freddie, and Wilson; sisters, Frances, Debra Jean, and Betty Jean.

He leaves to cherish his fond memories  his  daughter, Latasha M. Kennedy; two grandsons, Da’Quane L. Kennedy, and Antonio L. Kennedy; two sisters, Ann Anderson, and Elizabeth Leysath; one brother, Robert Leysath; uncle, Albert Mays; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends that will miss him dearly.
